SPEAKER OF THE 'HOUSE'...
Are you the speaker of the house (family)? The one who everyone in the family runs to for ideas, suggestions?
Do you get weary sometimes considering the fact that you seem to have a way of solving other people's issues/problems yet, you have your own pile of issues with no one to cry to? Do you feel let down sometimes when these people do something different from what you have discussed and supposedly solved earlier?
My little advice is this: take a break, focus on yourself (its not a crime to be selfish sometimes) and watch from a distance. At this point, you become the 'observer of the house'.
Ciao!!!

My dearie sis, u rock big time. This is the Lord's doing, $ it is marvellous in our sight.
ReplyDeleteLemme share my personal experience. I had a friend who was not too good with research, when she asked if I could help, in my usual manner, didn't even think twice about it. With all the excitement, feeling glad I could help I worked day and night..... until I realised I had wasted all my time, hard earned money, resources, effort, energy and even space in my heart... When the work was ready. She stoped by my place, picked it up in my absence n never till date uttered a word of gratitude. Now tell me, why would I want to be "the speaker of the house" again or carry other peoples matter for head again? Sometimes it doesn't just pay! Who cares?
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, that's a really sad story. U see, when we do good works, we should never expect a return cos we will always be dissappointed. Nevertheless, keep doing the good works and God who sees everything will reward u abundantly.
ReplyDeleteBut Chika, little words of "thank you" would go a long way to encourage the person nah! Its called simple courtsey.
ReplyDeleteYes Chioma, I agree with u.My point is, the fact that the expected thank you was not forth coming, doesn't mean we should give up.
